Borrowing from Powered by the Apocalypse
In the even that a player or the DM isn't certain what sorts of questions to ask or information to provide when a character uses the scrutinize option, the roleplaying game Dungeon World and similar Powered by the Apocalypse games provide an excellent list of useful questions to consider:
- What happened here recently?
- What is about to happen?
- What should I be on the lookout for?
- What here is useful or valuable to me?
- Who’s really in control here?
- What is being overlooked or obscured here?
- How does x really feel?
- Where can I find x?
